I'm starting a new board that will be focused on a pretty touchy/controversial subject.

I myself LOVE debating this subject so I want to be able to post without the stigma of being "the admin" and people being afraid to really speak their mind in response to my posts.

I also tend to get passionate about it and don't want my hands tied in the heat of debate because I'm "the admin" and need to remain unbiased. Meaning I personally have a specific view on the subject but if I post with that view in mind, people will start to accuse the board of being biased since the admin is biased. See what I mean?

So to get around this I've created an account called Admin that I plan to keep as the admin account that does "Admin stuff" leaving me free to speak my mind. (the board hasn't been launched yet this is just my idea of how I might do it).

What do you think? I mean I guess I'll have to let the moderator staff know that I'm actually the admin (in case they try to ban me ) but beyond that do you see any problem with it?

Yah just have an admin account and a personal account. Make sure you keep your dialogue very short and dry with the admin account so no one can figure out youre the same person. Youre membes WILL figure it out if youre not very careful with this.

Also dont even tell your staff or it will get out eventually.

Also, don't sign up with your personal account as account #2... That would be obvious too. Wait until there are some members posting already and then join in.

In fact I'd make a new one every few months or so, just to make sure people don't catch on.

I've thought about this idea as well.

On my game, I was going to sign up a few other times, with random information, even enter the DB and change the admin page so it doesn't show it as my account.

I can use this account to find different cheaters, people harrassing others etc, and see how effective and user-friendly my staff is (not knowing if they were talking directly to me would keep them on their toes im sure )
