I own BESTSHOTPHOTO.COM and always wanted to open a photography website. The idea for the site would be a community of photographers and those who are interested in photography in general. It will not be a Free photo / image site and I think I would actually block all hotlinking to non paid members. Users will be able to share their pictures with the rest of the community and everyone can rate, comment, discuss everything.

What do you guys think? Is there potential with this type of site?

I have started a similar website, but I should admit that the competition is tough.

I am running nude erotic pictures community ( porn is not allowed ),
The idea was to let people share amateur art, rate it, discuss, buy pictures.
The competition is strong but its always worth to give it a go.

As someone into photography AND messageboards - I'll chime in and say that yep the competition is tough for our attention There are alot of great places to go and talk about photography, so any new site would have to be something special to get my attention and keep me there

I'd like to join. I just got a camera but I don't know anything about photography, that would probably be great place to learn.
