It's a little harder to blend Adsense, YPN, or other text ads on forums. Anyone have some good examples of this?

I just do the standard rule of keeping the border and background the same color as the page background, but if anybody has any better ideas I'm sure we all would be interested to try new things.

Unless you have a navigation bar on the left/right where you could stick the verticle 'text' banners what look like links.. I think the best bet is to just have the biggest horizontal ad blended w/bg color and make hte text/links like on your forums and just put 4 pics on it. I would love to see a better example though! :shuriken:

You obviously aren't familiar with the $7 click.

If you follow Google's recommendations for where to put ads on your forum site, it isn't as hard as you might think. The suggestions make sense and are easy to implement.

Plus, there is the $7 click.

Ads that earn you $7 per click. I've been enjoying quite a few of these lately.

It's a combination of many things, most importantly your niche.

Are the sponsors of your site going to make money from your users? If they aren't, there's no way you're ever going to get a $7 click.

I suggest you have a side bar on the index, with images next to the ads.
