Well the question is simple, How many posts do you get on average per day on your forum?

VMKingdom.com
ranges between 400 - 700 per day during the last month, but during the summer, or when kids are out of school, it is usually around 1,300 - 1,500 per day.

MouseBuzz.com
pretty consistant between 800 - 1,000 per day the last month

My forum - www.nerdcouncil.com is getting is getting about 15 posts a day. It was getting around 20-25 a little while ago, but now things are slowing down. I intend to make some huge changes around Thanksgiving, so that should hopefully knock things up a bit.

200-600 per day on one, and 30-80 per day on the other.

My forum-fu sucks. I need to catch a clue with how to promote forums.

Roughly 100 posts per day at DoubleYelloCard.com - but it only re-opened yesterday.

On Cruiselinefans.com we get about 1,200-1,500 daily.

I found 2 forums in this thread that have really impressed me.

The first one is MouseBuzz.com which has over 500,000 posts and the domain was only registered in May 2006. The second one is Lee’s Cruiselinefans.com again with over 500,000 posts and this domain is even newer – July 2006.

I have a few questions for Cashable & Lee.
How did you guys achieve such a tremendous growth for such a short period? I know that the most important part of this is finding the right keyword niche, but how did you promote your forums in the very beginning? What worked for you best?

MouseBuzz is a new domain that I moved the site to earlier this year. My old domain, disneycentral.com, ran into problems with Disney. They were fine with it, but I was advertising my travel agency on it, so their travel lawers were having fits for some reason. I got sick of fighting, and just changed it. So, probably not as impressive as you think.

I think Lee did the same thing, the site used to be cruiselineforums.com, I know it was changed not long ago.

Over 500,000 posts is impressive anyways. How long did it take you to reach this number of posts? How did you promote the forum in the very beginning?
