I thought maybe a new domain would work, but then again im not sure. I tried advertising a little on myspace. But not working very well.

You have a nice look at welazy.com. One way of generating traffic is to reach to as many people as you can by self advertising about your site. I would suggest that you can also try by hiring the services of a professional company who have the experience of doing so.

I think you need to give your site some kind of hook, or something special this will make people want to join. Somehow make it stand out from the crowd of other social networks. You might want to focus on one particular topic or niche. For example MySpace started out bening popular among musicians and music fans, facebook was high schoolers.
