My user post ratio is: 48.863...

Is that good? Does anyone know the average forums user to post ratio?

My forum's is 12.76. It's pretty low because everyone registers and leeches the programs without posting.

Checking two of my forums.

One is 62.46
The other is 14.86

I consider both forums equally successful. The one that has the lower total has alot of people register for technical help, not a ton of conversation. However, it gets far more guest views and makes me more money.

The answer to your question is that there is no definitive 'average' posts to member ratio. It depends on a huge number of factors, including the number of automated registrations from spam bots your site receives, and how involved your members are in your community.

Of course, the higher you can get that ratio the better - so keep an eye on it, but certainly do not obsess over it! Spend your time generating content and promoting interaction in your community.
