Ok i have a forum called Gamers Forum and last month, jan '07 was the best month of the forum since coming out in august '06. 2400+ posts in a month, almost 200 topics opened, multiple 100+ posts a day in a row, thousands of pageviews, almost 100k that month, pr3 achieved, but as the start of february came, it took 4 days to get just 200 posts and 10 topics. Less users are coming on and im doing the same things i did before. im adding mods, im still making topics to attract posts, giving out free links, and points.

well what im getting to is, what can i do to make it the same as last month? what extra things can i do to get more members and more posts and more activity?

suggestions and tips welcome.

Well,
I would suggest stop adding and changing things, when I stay at a community, it is because I have become familiar with it. Many people do not like change which could be your problem. Offer contest, and become more personal with the community so that they feel like they know who you are and the other visitors.

it seems you have a lot of topics, maybe cut some of them out.

why cut topics out? 800+ topics yes, but taking them out will cause topic and post numbers to go down, most topics are still active, and i havent changed anything on the forum for a few months, thx for comments
