HI Guys! Just wondering if holding a raffle contest (with various prizes at stake like Apple IPod Video and other gift items) would actually help boost the traffic for our forum?
If so, what are the chances we can maintain the traffic generated by this contest?
The idea is to get members post as many as 10 posts to get a raffle ticket. There are also other ways to secure a raffle ticket like joining our affiliate network and referring friends to join the forum.

This is the link for the forum:
AffiliateBOT Forum Contest

I need your input!

You may need a good bit of traffic to begin with. Keep in mind only a small percentage of your visitors will participate.

I tried a contest before, but got very few entries.

Where to promote your contest is key. Figure out what kind of contest and who would want to participate first.

Michael

Thanks for the input Michael! Its our first crack into the contest thing. I guess it would be a learning experience for us.

I think the first contest will peak some intereste but once word gets out the following ones might intensify a bit. There are amny variables involved in the success of one but beachbumis hit on the head

good luck!
