I recently signed up for Kontera and was accepted for one of my forums. I was wondering where is the best place to put the ad code.

Currently I placed the ad in the header and made it only visible to guests. I'm guessing it takes a full 24 hours before I see any ads up.

Thanks!

You are suppose to place the code as close to the </body> as possible.

I run Intellitxt, but it's the same principle. I would run it on Forumhome and Showthread on the forum. You want to run it where you have a lot of keyword rich text.

I put Kontera in my blog. Just like what BamaStangGuy said, I usually put external code as close as the </body>.

I would think it would be best to put it near the end of your code so that it executes after most of the site has loaded.

What do you mean putting it towards the top left always does better. This is not Adsense ads, it In-Line contextual ads that automatically finds and hyperlinks chosen keywords on your page which is a random process I would think. It would only change words if they matches any advertisers ads so you don't know where the hyperlink ads will appear on the content of each page.
