Hello Everyone, haven't been on here in a while. Like the changes so far and the marketplace looks pretty sweet.

Anyways, My site has steadily (or slowly, depending on your views) been growing and we're at 230 members in 1 year. I haven't spent a Dime on advertising for the site, but did buy vB and vBSEO but both were well worth the money in my opinion.

My question basically is, is there a way to make money now (I know it wouldn't be a ton now, but just like the 15 bucks to cover hosting a month). Adsense hasn't done any good for me, and my site only receives like 20,000 pageviews/month so it wouldn't do much even if I implemented it more than I did before. Is there any other way to make money steadily, but at the same time not annoying my members with banners everywhere?

Forums are the hardest.

The forum CTR is at around 0.30%. I have a 1 million page views/month forum and the ctr is even lower than 0.30%.

I don't use anything but text ads.

Actually, I do have a forum, but its tiny. Its on my website, which I'm not sure I can post here, but will try. FreebiesHeaven.com

I'd love to make this forum grow in a big way, like Deal Of Day or Anything4free or any of the other big ones. I admit that a big part of it is for profit, but also I'd like people to know my site for its content, its value.

Private advertisers and paid subscriptions are a good route to go.
