I know EF has been a bit slow lately, but I'll give this a shot anyways.

On some other threads, I read a lot of people suggesting having a launch team to start a new community.

What if we started grouping people together here, 4 or 5 like minded people forming a ring. Everyone is starting their own community, as well as moderating and helping with content for the others in their ring.

Sure, you may have issues with some people not pulling their weight. I personally feel that someone who isn't pulling their weight because of a lack of ability will continue to improve and is worth the effort. Someone who isn't pulling their weight because they'd rather play WoW isn't, and frankly doesn't belong on a site like this anyways.

Anyone interested in this?

Its a nice idea but I personally would rather devote all my time to my own forum than split it up between others if I were to start a new forum. I think for launch teams its best to get family and friends to help you out.

Maybe it'd be best with 2 or 3 guys...

personally, with the exception of the initial build, i cant concentrate on one site for hours and hours on end. Im on 5 sites right now.

Once you have the site looking spiffy and ready for beta, you almost HAVE to go other places for a little inspiration..

but maybe its just me.

So, you're talking about forming a post exchanging group or something? Each user posts xx times on a forum - and the next user does the same or what?

Post exchanging, even moderation... not administration though, id REALLY have to trust someone to let them into my admincp.

There's lots of ways you could do it.

I have a similar problem fat boy. I always attempt to work steady on one project and get it done buy always end up getting tired of it and starting a new project. I have way to many half done sites out there.

I like your launch team idea.

what's up everyone..

this idea seems feasible if the mutual parties are sharing in the profit to made from the community.

one person has already stated they would rather work on "their own forum", than be apart of a team working on everyones forum why? possibly because the ROI isn't high or even there.

my fiddy cents..
