Has anyone ever used forumbooster? If so, was it worth it? Is paid forum posting worth it, or should i just populate my own forum by copying and pasting content from my site on the forum?

No its a service where u pay for people to post on your forum to get it going. http://www.forumbooster.net

there are alot of services like this. I'm just trying to find out if its a good one, or if all of these kinds of services arent reliable.

I don't know about forum booster, but I've used similar service before. It is OK to jump-start your forum, make it look alive, but it is not for long term though...

Sooner or later you're just gonna be more creative on attracting visitors. The competition is stiff

I still think it wouldn't hurt for short-term use..

It depends on the nature of the forum. Most websites and services like forums (in particular web 2.0 apps) are driven by user content which is generated by the user out of their own passion and interested in the specific area. By paying someone to submit content is more of a media portal, and may hinder the quality and style of the content. Look at social networking the site which require payment whether from users or providers have short life spans. However if you feel the traffic may supply a good ROI by all means.

I would recommend you link content to events which people may feel strongly want to express and share ideas. For example the Olympics is in the media big time at the mo, maybe opening a forum on a specific area i.e. boxing and linking threads and discussions to other boxing forums and networks i.e. facebook groups.

Good content is a key factor too, partnering with individuals blogs is another way to generate user content, by giving users and place to react to issues raised in popular blogs, and also exposure for the bloggers will keep everyone happy.

If you are looking for a boost for your forums...hire writers such as me! LOL.

I tried forumbooster and hmmmm.... though they may be an inexpensive service...not all of the people they hire are not that articulate and you might just get frustrated.

Yea true.. forum booster can be long lived if they hire writers for their forums. I dont think its a great idea. Making money through net is easy through affiliate programs but not through this.

ForumBooster is an online service specializing in providing affordable, quality & user-friendly content to websites. Our signature service is BOOST paid forum posting, which is a forum population service that brings users & posts to your website to bring the site to life and make it active. We also offer SEO article writing services which are geared towards providing quality content articles to any niche or topic you have. We are dedicated to service, so if you are not satisfied we do everything to make it right!

I think it's purpose for spamming.

Seems like a legit paid posting service, but at those rates (in general, I don't know how much this service is worth so not instulting their prices) I would prefer to just do the work myself. Speaking of which, I should get going on creating some new "users" and "posts" on my forum =D

There are some very good forum posting services and some very lousy ones. Most offer a trial or mini-package where you can get an idea of the quality of the posting before committing to a larger package. Before hiring one, I would ask how they decide who goes on staff - is there a screening process to be sure they are decent writers? Keep in mind, that while you can get cheap posting services off forums like Digital Point from individuals, the quality is usually pretty low. You do tend to get what you pay for, in most cases.
