I recently launched a forum called www.decentdiscussions.com

Now I want to promote it but where should I promote it?

Currently I am just using stumbleupon and using sig links on other forums, what else I can do?

I would guess that you are on the right track by having it in your sig. Visit other larger forums and make announcements! Good luck!

make press releases and articles and distribute them to make people aware of your forum. discuss on whats interesting in your forum and on why they should join.

in fact you can advertise on forums itself

Don't forget blog comments, especially those with "top commentators".

I wont spam my own forum but bigger forums like mine are www.theadminzone.com and www.adminfusion.com. There are also forum promotion forums, numerous ones fund on google search... www.adcrazy.org is one of them.

Social Bookmarking and Forum Links are the best for small forums. You need every single way to get your forum's name out!

Make sure these places are index, follow as well if you can find out.
