Cool pligg site. My social bookmarking site started off as a mostly Canadian site too, though as it got bigger it started branching out and lost some of its Canadian appeal (although it's more geared towards tech rather than Canadian news, so it's not that big of a deal).
Anyway, good luck with your site. Though I would be careful about promoting it so blatantly like that here. "Online Communities" isn't for link promotion.
