Social Network Marketing Tycoon

Hello guys,
I want you guys to provide me with some information about how to run a successful social networking website.

I don't think that is a good idea to run it on a shared hosting, I am thinking about a vps, an inexpressive one I have found so far is godaddy, I really can not think of anything else, maybe you guys know a better deal.

And how about the script, I tried open source like osDate, however it is very limited to what I want, I manged to find a script called phpfox, I think it is really good, it is very expensive, though.

Please give me as much as infos you got. Thanks in advance.

Check PG Social Networking software, if you are interested. They have just released a new version for pure social networking and it looks good to me. Have just installed a trial on my server.

As for hosting, godaddy support is awful! May be you'll try to find another... here're some that I personally checked:
