Don't count on quantity, count on quality and that mainly depends on your niche. For example my social media marketing service. It would be pointless to market this to myspace, facebook, and twitter users as they all know how to use those sites, and would never need my services (plus most people there are not business owners).
If your niche targets mainstream consumers, then you can benefit, but it will be from interested people who find you naturally, not because your spamming links on the networks.
