I am trying to find a good open source program that would power a site similar to www.mbpost.com or www.summitpost.com. I have scoured the source code and looked through the sites and cannot find what they are powered by. I am trying to find a system that would be user driven where users can create content and post reviews for specific items almost simlar to an amazon type where the reviews show up on the products page but certainly nowhere near as robust. I am actually looking to do this for local campsites where people can go online and review them and leave their opinions/experience where each campground.

Any help is always appreciated!

Probably some kind of in house CMS

Wordpress is probably what your looking for.

I dont know but it actually doesnt seem that sophisticated.....they could of written it themselves

The word use of the word Taxonomy makes me think of a Drupal based site. You might take a look at that one.

I had a quick look and they use phpBB2, Its basically a forum with posts for content

They spent a lot of time taking out references and would say this is one of the reasons for not updating, I initially thought you were the owner checking to see if you missed any references.

I would have said it looked along the lines of wordpress but I could be wrong... wordpress is free, you should look into it a bit more.

It would also be a good idea to contact the admin of the site and ask.
