ive been posting everyday for a year and a half and have 500 to 1000 EVERYDAY on my site, 80% of which are unique visitors and i have 2 members that come on once in awhile. what can i do to have people want to join and be a part of my community. i dont want to do contests, what are some things that mite make want people to join. theyre all coming from other forums so they are people who want to talk to other people and post, all my traffic comes from The Internet Movie Database which is a forum. people love to talk about celebs, what theyre wearing or whatever, ive been visiting sites for years and theres tons of people.

Then you are in a better position than us to know what motivates people to join such communities.

not really, theyre just people that have joined forums before i did. i dont know why they joined

cause i wanted to look at pics, and there were thousands of people there already and i wanted to interact

also make your site user friendly, I see you are getting the traffic but all you need to make them register, you already drive them to your site but how to make them stay is the problem... make it easy for users to do what they want to do let them see the registration button clearly and think of some ways to make them do it...
