I know social network marketing is new compared to other marketing strategies, but has anyone conquered it yet?

I see many books on how to get rich with Facebook and Twitter. But has any of the buyers of those books succeeded? Not the authors but the buyers?

That's a good question, I honestly don't know, I suppose it could happen, the authors are making money on the books. I have seen a lot of new businesses donate their services to charitable organizations and grow from there, word to mouth is free advertising.

I don't know about the book but I know people as in real that have made and still make tons of cash daily with facebook. And these guys are not out there sharing their methods for a few bucks. They just keep their secrets with themselves and keep banking.

I think its not on facebook and twitter alone, I guess they also try other factors like SEO and PPC...

most of the people making money out of social marketing doesnt really give you 100% of how they do it but yeah they give some idea..still its up to use to explore more

The way I understand social network marketing is that if you are an affiliate marketer, creating such awareness on a social network site where you have several friends and fans has the potentials to link you up to more prospects. In the case of one who is a freelance writer, engaging in social network marketing of your services always makes a difference. I've gotten at least three clients from advertizing my services on my profile page. It really pays.

I haven't and neither one of my friends buy any ebooks or books here online on how to get rich scheme; and can't personally confirm on the success rate but read some blogs on other people's success stories.

You are absolutely right on this, organic way of promoting that really work. I really don't buy books on how to get rich scheme and etc. I've got no budget for it.

There are some people making money with facebook.

But it's not just facebook. It's an overall network. you have to be on a bunch of social networking sites. Create fan pages, log in as your fanpage and post to groups and other businesses in your niche and you have to do it tastefully without spamming. I'm starting to have some followers on a few social networking sites. But really you have to get on bookmarking sites video sharing sites. Not only that you have to make friends on all of those sites and forward your material to them. Some of those friends with also bookmark your material and if enough people do bookmark or link to you then you will see some search engine rankings as a result. Then you get more visitor who in turn bookmark you and so on.

It works but you have to be pretty active and write new pages every day. Bookmark every day. submit articles and links every day. Post to facebook and twitter everyday.

The most important thing is to offer useful content on those social bookmarking pages and develop some report with people. They see you are offering some useful content and they will keep visiting your social network pages and they will suggest your page to other people. If you are just going on Facebook and randomly adding hundreds of friends and link dumping you will just get labeled as a spammer and nobody will want to read anything anything you post. Make sure to make a good first impression with potential clients or whathaveyou.

If people see you offering something useful rather than just advertising they will more likely to check you out.

I've tried both ways and the providing useful content way works way better.
