Well there are many popular social bookmarking site, but most of them now not available like mixx, propeller, if you say to choose one then for me digg is the most popular social bookmarking site.

A good seo consultant doesn't resort to spammy tactics in order to try & manipulate search engines. The reason they don't is because they have been around long enough to see that MASS bookmark submission spam winds up getting their sites a penalty in google and dropped from the listings for key word spam associated to the manipulation attempts.

I would suggest that you take your time and build backlinks with reputable sites that have authority, rather than mass submissions to weak spam fest sites. 1 authority link is worth more than 10,000 garbage links.

Not to mention, after a while of bulk spammy backlinking, eventually you get black-listed from millions of sites that use a spam filter database service. Meaning, if 1 or 2 sites report you for spam, all 10 million sites using the database auto block you from that point on.

It's just not worth losing your seo consulting reputation over.

You need to participate actively in high PR,reputed ,social bookmarking sites,understand how each site works....Vote! Comment! Contribute! Its always to build a reputation on a few quality sites rather than collecting bulk of links from low quality sites.
Remember its always Quality over Quantity !!

I think this Onlywire Automated Bookmarking serviceis not free we have to pay some amount, but its good and you have to sign up manually on different social networks.

There's just far too much spam these days thanks to 'SEO-ers' that think by getting a tonne of uninterested facebook fans or a bunch of random stumbleupon followers is going to work miracles.

I've been down this path and can tell you all it doesn't work. I'm trying to enlighten myself now and trying to learn from others, as well as my mistakes, as much as I can.

In my experience the fans/backlinks/etc that I have gotten in the past that took me the most time to nurture have always paid off the best rewards. So what I am experiencing is like all things: If you want to do it properly, real SEO is hard work.

I would suggest you to go for reliable links rather than going for a bulk that gets hammered down by Google. Why dont you try few such as:
1- Stumbleupon
2-reddit
3- Digg
4- folkd

Funny how everyone talks down on social bookmarking like it is the devil. But here is a little bit of personal experience that will shock you. I was doing an offsite SEO job for a friend. I submitted the site to about 50 high PR directories and about 80 social bookmarking sites. The site had been live for only a week. The submissions took me something like three hours. I made sure to manually write unique descriptions and titles with each submission. My friend's page was in the number #1 position on Google before I had completed the entire round of submissions. That's how fast links from social media sites are indexed and scored. Keep in mind this page is beating out results from Yahoo!, Oregon Live and other much more established sites for a given keyword.

Social bookmarking sites are a legitimate offsite SEO technique.

Anyhow here's a list I put together of about 160 of what I think are the very best social bookmarking sites.

Just so people don't get confused, Umm, Back linking is not part of SEO, it's part of SEM.. Both SEO & Back Linking are 2 totally seperate categories within Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

It should also be noted that Search engines such as google are constantly changing their algorithm and have added a new value that monitors "Link Spam". So people should be very careful when doing large back link Blasts, one may just find their site black listed shortly after they hit page 1. While hitting page one temporarily may still seem cool to some, it's more optimal to do things the right way (organically) and stay on page one for the long term.

Agreed.

Creating a unique title, description, and tags for each submission is highly recommended. Creating complete profiles on each of the sites and making friends with people on the sites is also a recommended practice. Not just a link dump but offering useful content to users on a consistent basis. But then again I don't promote things like Viagra, casinos, or cam shows. Most of the things I link to are legitimate businesses or organizations or free software or other things that are actually useful. Not stuff like ringtones, mesothelioma lawyers, or big AdSense keywords.

People go about social media marketing the wrong way. People just join random sites and start dumping links. Sign up. Join. Buy. That doesn't work and just gets you labeled as a spammer.

Another thing I noticed about social media that is pretty awesome and mind you this only happens to me once in a while. I will post something cool and other people will start reposting it and linking to it. That's when you know you are doing it right. All you are doing is introducing the content to people and they are deciding if it is worth reposting. So indirectly just by posting good content you get a bunch of free non-spam links and visitors.

But also noted most SEM jobs will require some kind of other linkbuilding strategy beside bookmarking alone. Because there really aren't that many social bookmarking sites out there. Not that many that I will bother submitting to anyway.
