Facebook users together with other social networking sites claimed that there is a lack of privacy maintenance; I did used Facebook, but inactive and can't confirmed it if lacks privacy and etc.

It is as private or public as you want to allow.

If you do not want some things to be public DON'T PUBLISH THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if people are stupid enough to put details visible that they would rather keep to themselves they have NO RIGHT to whinge about "lack of privacy" later.
