So I was noticing a lot of fake profiles on facebook. Then I noticed one with a Guy Faukes mask. The one from V for Vendetta. So I checked into it and sure enough Hacktivist group Anonymous is planning an attack on facebook for November 5th 2011. This really cracks me up. Yeah apparently this was being planned since July but I'm out of the loop on this whole thing.

I have no idea how this will effect the social media giant. But one thing is for sure. It's gonna be funny.

On a personal note. I use facebook everyday. I don't really care what information they have about me. That why you should use misinformation as a countermeasure against intelligence gathering efforts.

I've read into this and have heard many theories. I'm not sure what to believe. Anon's previous attacks have been successful, but why attack the 2nd largest website?

They can try a DDOS attack on Facebook, nothing will happen. They'll have to be able to do something else.

Keep in mind, this has been public for a while, which is usually not normal for Anon. If this is real... they'll be in for one heck of a fight as I'm sure Facebook is going to try to immunitize before that date.

A DDOS attack on Facebook eh. Millions of useless messages being sent with no thought as to the recipients. Just a normal day then
