Social Network Marketing Tycoon

I'm pretty new to online marketing...and I'm rather clueless as to how to start.

I launched a week ago, but I'm stumbling as to how to use social networking to increase traffic. I made a fan page and like me link (it works) and I have about 15 friends...but I'm really not getting anything from Facebook yet.

I started a Twitter, but haven't gotten anyone to follow me.

I started a Myspace and have some friends, but don't know how to market.

Can someone tell me some tricks to getting my idea off the ground with social networking?

Well, why not use Google? Search through the web, there are thousands of articles on the topic, a lot of information there. I doubt there's much sence in quoting all that stuff here.

This works for social networking sites like facebook. Note that this is without using bots or like exchanges. You invite all of your friends or people you know. Join groups where you can post some of your links to. Make sure they are groups that will be interested in what you are offering.

Next Write good content

Every time you finish a page or create an online resource post a link to it. You will have people sharing your link and inviting their friends to your group or page in no time.

Also keep in mind that you need a really high number of friends to make any kind of marketing campaign work unless they are an extremely targeted niche.

Targeted customers have a response rates 30% or more provided you have some selling skills.

Non-Targeted traffic has a response rate usually less than 4% in my experience.

In terms of marketing, you want to market the right content to the right people. Start with social networks and target the people who you think would be interested in your content.

Depends on your niche. For professional networking, I suggest LinkedIn.
Ultimately, the quality of your contacts and the network you create play vital role in online marketing than the quantity of friends you have.

Make friends as much as you can and share something unique and interesting with them.
