What I feel is that Facebook timeline has been introduced to capable users to bring their whole lives on facebook from the day you were born to the date. As one of the members has said that it will bring a fresh change in experiencing facebook.

I ran into this the other day. Though, I myself don't know that much about it yet - it does offer a tutorial on how to use it. I think when you say "Yes" you do want to use the timeline - a link to the tutorial pops up. I should have gone through the tutorial - but I didn't have the time - but need to get back to it since I'm doing some work for a doctor in Boston and we are using FB to network with other ppl living in Boston.

As one person said above - it does give the FB user page a new look & feel.

Well, those new Facebook features definitely help graphic designers to earn more. Not that I'm against that, but I really do not see any other benefits for individuals in that.

Facebook Timeline is just another feature of Facebook, many people using it and don’t now its main use as they like because of a cover picture lol haha. Well that’s not it Timeline give you a benefit adjusted your profile according to Time as when someone check your profile and can easily go to exact date where he/she wana go. A very useful Feature for all Facebook users. There’s also a feature of analytic tool which been introduced as you can check the statistic of your page by analytic tool like SocialDon.com giving you all best analytics about your fanpage.

It is just a new design in Facebook. I personally do not like it that's why I do not prefer to change my profile format.
