Web hosting forums need better/more ruthless moderation

I have nothing against the moderators of the web hosting forums (web hosting forum and the web hosting offers and requests forum), but I feel that the moderators really need to be more ruthless against spammers. Today, there have been about 3 or 4 threads which openly flout the rules - i.e. 15 post minimum for the offers forum and no advertising in the web hosting forum.

Can this somehow be improved? I keep reporting threads religiously but it is often several days before there is any action on these.

I don't see that there are days that pass, I'm in there every day, usually more than once and I'm pretty darn ruthless, if they don't meet the minimum requirements, the thread is gone.

We have several mods here, but we can't possibly all be here 24/7. Some changes are coming that should help control this.

OK. As I said in the other thread (just now), I appreciate greatly what the mods do and I can see that they obviously have other work and lives to get on with.

Some sort of automatic method, perhaps blocking posting in the forum (definitely the offers forum) would be useful. It's good to hear that changes are on their way anyway
