I find it somewhat annoying having to go through all the diiferent "new wordpress theme available" type of blogging threads to find good ones and people having problems. Maybe a sub-forum for them?

Great suggestion. I have been wondering about this particular aspect myself and I think a subforum to the blog forum may be necessary for this reason. I'm not sure what the Admins think, but it sounds like a great suggestion to me

I was also thinking perhaps maybe blogging should have a category of its own, its huge on the web nowadays, and I never really understood why it was considered a part of the "Web Design" forum here.

Thanks for your suggestions. After talking with the Forum Leaders, we have made the Blogging Forum a main forum with Blog Themes a sub-forum.

This should help with locating and separating questions from themes.

Does anyone else think we should add a "blog review" sub forum to the blogging forum? It seems like many people asking for reviews for their blog in the forum, even though WT already has a "website review" forum. Or do those threads just belong there instead of the blogging forum?

Hmm? I can see where it would be useful. I wonder if review threads should just go in the website review forum, but I doubt we can force people to always post them there. Maybe a blog review subforum would work.

Even though I agree with Steven and a blog review section would still be helpful, now I think something should be done about all the "blogger vs. wordpress" threads, maybe combine them and perhaps sticky it? (so no one else will have to create another vs. thread)

I have a feeling those kind of thread are inevitable. Just like the Firefox vs Internet Explorer threads. We could devote an entire forum to them and people will still start the debate with each other every time one gets mentioned.

So you think it should be left "as is", because there's no stopping those type of threads?

I'm just not sure creating a sticky is the answer. I think we'd be merging threads into it forever. I suppose we could take one thread and turn it into a sticky that says to post all WP vs Blogger comments here and hope it helps.

Maybe it's not such a bad idea. Can you point me to a few of the specific threads that debate the WP Blogger issue?

Hmm? The sticky Tim started asking what software people use is probably the one that should keep the discussion. I prefer not to start new stickies if it can be helped.

Let me think of the best way to direct people into that thread who want to discuss different blogging software.

Sounds good, but what about all the threads already discussing the two? Will you merge them into the sticky?

I'd sooner just let the threads die out. I know no matter what the sticky says there's going to be more discussions started. It's inevitable.

I know they can be annoying, but they're not that hard to avoid either.
