It's not a bad idea, and it **** sure isn't spam (tell anyone who told you that to come deal with me, and I'll show 'em spam!) but I'm not sure it would fly. You'd have to have enough of an interest in those types of things and enough web designers looking for support in all of those areas in order for it to be a successful forum. I can see that one going either way.
And, as whym said, we're our own forum with our own collective thoughts and our own collective opinions (sort of). You'll get a much better idea of what is and isn't spam just from watching some of the more experienced members and mods here (whym, Forrest Croce, Learning Not-Even-Close-to-a-Newbie, vangogh, chrishirst, and about 20 others) and how we interact with the spammers.
You'll see some quite humorous spammer meltdowns if you stick around long enough. Apparently there's some guy on here who's notorious for taking spammers and getting them twisted around in knots. But I wouldn't know anything about that.  |
