I noticed in every postbit, there's an option to "multi-quote", but I can never get it to work properly, or what it's real function is used for. I click on a couple of them, then click reply, and nothing "special" happens.

Does anyone have any insight on this feature?

select the "multi-quote" icons on the posts and click the quote button on any one of them.

(works for me anyway )

They will work with "add reply", but you had said that you use the quick reply (where it doesn't work). Try both ways and I think you'll find that after clicking a couple of posts for quoting that the add reply and the quote both work.
