I'm new and a lot of these topics seem scary and over my head. Us noobs need a general advice forum, like how to get started, what books to read, what software we need etc; etc...... just a thought


Maybe an archive too with the "best of" threads; so that way something that has been asked and answered isnt reasked........


Also maybe a "forum forum" for forum related issues?

We're actually pretty kind to noobies. It's ok if some of the topics seem scary. They were to all of us at one point or another.

Is there something you were specifically hoping to learn? Feel free to ask away. Let people know you're new to all this and a little confused and we'll do what we can to get you up to speed quick.

If anyone is rude to you ignore them. Most of us here will take a little extra time to try and help. As far as reposting questions it's ok. If you're able to search and find something that's great, but I think we all know it's not all that easy sometimes to find what you're looking for. I know I'll still answer your question even if it's been asked before.

I promise we don't bite.

Not to worry here. It's possible than someone will be rude, but for the most part we're happy to answer any question.
