Well, instead, I think most people that just want to tell about their hosting just give up and move on, not that I'm accusing anyone of that. And notice that I said "JUST" in that statement. We have lots of members that host that have become a good part of this community, and they've posted elsewhere besides that forum.

If the only reason to join here lies in one forum, why didn't the potential member read the rules for that particular forum of interest before joining?

To make this thread die, or not to die....

Yeah its a shame poeple come for one thing, this is a great community which offers alot. Sounds to me like he is very young and trying to promote a friends site of something!

I guess it's better to have a forum that sucks with over 1300 registered members than to have no forum at all.

Just think, he came with the hopes of not having to be all alone anymore and once he was given the opportunity to be a part of a community he now finds himself right back where he started alone and miserable, the same exact reasons he was all alone in the first place.

i dont get it -- it says he wanted to make a request for hosting... as rude as he may have been... i dont see how requesting hosting would be self promotion....

the request/offer hosting is in the same forum and so the 15 post rule must apply... but i do see his problem with that, i think ppl were too quick to flame him, even if he was rude...

maybe instead we should have explained calmly the reason for the restriction and offered him advice on where he can go to find good hosting, instead of bashing him.

if you look he was told, he just didnt think wait must be a reason lets look at the rules or ask.. if he had returned he could have seen the problem..
