Please do something about it. Pretty please.

P.S. I would also like to be able to permanently remove some of the categories, so that I am not forever collapsing them when I login. I am sure this could be done effortlessly through a row in the db with the setting configurable in cp and a basic php script in the tpl.

I'm not a big fan of the banner either, and there's been more discussion about it here:

Also, I'm not sure about the "Permanent Removal" of different categories, you'd have to talk to an admin about that.

I just wanted to say how excited Clickbooth is to be working with Webmaster Talk and to be a member of such a great community! In response to some of the posts members have made regarding our new banner, we would like you all to know that we are 100% willing to allow any senior forum member to turn it off. Even though we have an advertising agreement in which we paid for the banner to be seen across the board, we would much rather take into consideration members’ wishes respectfully. I have no issue with a banner being there. I do have an issue with what it shows. It wasn't exactly put into the site tactfully neither. Rather it was just lumped there.
