Hi Guys,

My company is after me about using uniform usernames across all the industry forums. What would I have to do to get Russell_Nyland changed to ECSuite_Russell. I had the latter registered here last fall I'm pretty sure but when I started posting this January I couldn't find record of it but it also wouldn't let me register it again.

Is there any way I could get this changed? Thanks!

We usually wont' do a bunch of changes of usernames because a member might want one name this week, another name next week, and another after that. However, for a single time, all you usually need to do is PM an Admin or SMod. In this case, all you need to do now is verify the exact username that you want yours changed to.

Why would your company not want you to use the same username across the internet? Is it because it does not have the ECSuite in it? I'm just curious, because using the same name would make it easier to find you in whatever forum you're in...of course, some may think that aspect is bad.

no no, they WANT uniformity.

I have a few different usernames I use, usually some combo of my name and the company name.

But they want me to be 'ECSuite_Russell' or 'ECSuite Russell' on every board.
