I've noticed several spam things and threads linking to sites in their 1st post. I can't find a "report this post" button. Something should be done about this...

You're right it looks like the 'report to post' button disappeared. If you want feel free to mention the spam in the confidential talk section since only staff will see it and I'll bring it up that we need to get that button back.

Thanks for pointing out that it's missing.

Reading a different thread, I see someone else mentioned it and found it. It's on the top right next to (permalink). It's just hard to find and isn't in it's usual place in the lower left.

You might also want to consider disallowing links for all new users until they make a minimum amount of posts.

Right again. I hadn't noticed it moved. I guess it's not a button I look for a lot since I don't need to report posts.

I think the links are ok as long as they're not meant solely for self promotion. Those we delete regardless of how many posts you have, though it can be a judgment call.

Sometimes in order to help someone you need to see their site and a link does help. I don't want to discourage new members from asking their question when it needs a link.

I thought it was always in the upper right. At least it has been as far as I can remember and I've reported a lot of spam posts in the past

James maybe it was always there. It's one of the buttons I never need to use so it's not one I look for. I always thought it was below the Talkpuation stuff, but maybe it hasn't been there for awhile.

I remember it moved to the current location after we had the WT redesign contest a while back.

Thanks Keith. I was pretty sure it used to be on the left.
