Why do all those deletion notices show? It clutters up the forum list and the threads. No one really needs to see those except maybe staffers. It's nice that you hide them from guests (and search spiders), but why not give us members the same uncluttered experience?

Spam normally gets deleted out of the thread, but the idea behind leaving deleted posts, is so the OP knows why it was deleted and other members who decide the rules don't apply to them get a reminder.

Whether the second point works or not is debatable.
