After looking through the forums I see alot of threads deleted by Christhirst. His most notable reason for banning a thread is: Link Exchange Crap.

Now, the only threads that I ever see are usually deleted by christ. Meaning he moderates this forum the majority of the time by himself.
Which is why I think he deserves some appreciation.

Chris does deserve a compliment for all his moderation efforts.

He can usually smell and identify trouble before it happens.

I have already complimented Chris in another thread along with the other moderators for doing a job well done, which is totally volunteer on their time. Plus there are quite a few threads here at Webmaster Talk to to keep track of, my appreciation is not only for Chris but for all the other Moderators as well.

It's definitely a team effort here. You only see a few deleted threads or posts because we only leave certain ones "visible" in the hope of detering future offenders.
I get the "link exchange crap" ones because they are usually in the cats I am assigned to moderate.

What you don't see is the 30 or 40 "Watch films on your iPod", Tami Flu/Generic Cialis/Viagra/ diet pills or russian porn spam that arrives here every day and is moved off to a hidden "Spam bin", often within minutes of it been posted.
We all get far more than a fair share of that, and Russian pr0n before breakfast will definitely put you off the sausage and mayo butty

We used to get a lot of that but put 5 posts as minimum for posting pics, never got it since, I kind of miss it

I got to admit I don't normally join in these circle jerk type threads, although this is now my second post in this thread so maybe a mutual masturbation forum is in the offing, but he is a pretty smart cookie, I have been a member of many webmaster forums, most don't even deserve the words webmaster in their url, more Indian spamming club on acid would be a better and more honest url, sadly honesty and truth gets you banned from stating the bleeding obvious from some of those forums, ok takes 10 seconds for a new ip and clean out the cookies, but why bother.

Anyway, this time I joined 3 webmaster forums, of which of course this was one of them, they were all first page of google for my search and part of my quest to move 4 words for 2 forums up the scale a bit on google, didn't need to join as all I needed was a few new directories, what I was doing wasn't rocket science but each little bit helps.

1 forum I left a couple of days ago as the owner is an idiot, as long as pages are served to him fast thats all that matters, show him stats on how his pages are served all over the world and he don't care, they serve fast for him, ok I don't take to idiots well, the other is ok but it is basically newbies asking newbie questions and of no benifit to me, like to think that oneday I will be as clever as Chris, although I'm not interested in the sheep or wellies angle, let Chris and his fellow Welsh compatriots harvest that knowlege, but this one I got maybe 300 odd posts, the others around 50 each, so yeah, Chris is pretty good for a Northern xxxxxx xxx xxx xxxxxx xxxxxxx x x x x
