I think we should switch over to invisionboard when the new version comes out, version 1.1. Invisionboard is faster than vbulletin, and just as easy to customize. I think there is even an option with it to update from vbulletin, but I'm not sure. Anyways, this is just a suggestion, invisionboard own. Check out my forums at www.paoliwm.com/forum/ , it is invisionboard 1.0.1

i like the look of invisionboard...but then i like the look of this forum too.
if there is a markable improvement in download speed and times, then perhaps we could consider a switch, but theres a new edition of VBulletin out soon isn't there? so perhaps we're just as well wait for that and see what improvements that brings...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't envision WT changing from vBulletin. IMHO, vBulletin has more to offer than any other forum offered today. But that's just me.

vBulletin costs money? Wow, that sucks... Anyways, I dont really see any features vBulletin offers that invisionboard doesnt. I am an admin of an invisionboard forum, and I know you can do pretty much anything. Take a look at this site, http://www.hostilegamers.com/hostileforum/index.php . Thats a good example of a well skinned, fast, invisionboard. Check out its speed

im sure if youve used vbulletin apaoli you wouldnt be saying that
i used invision for about two months on a site and i reckon its one of if not the best free bb on the market but you simply cannot compare it with vbulletin
vbulletin is miles ahead of it - in terms of options, features, admin options, support and updates of the software

Hey apaoli, I like your boards I used to have that skin on mine too... You know that IBForums are now in 1.1 now eh?
Anyway, I think you should keep vB, no need for extra time switching the skins around etc. when you have a working forum with good (possibly, I say possibly) better features then IBF...
Personally, I would choose IBF over vB... I've tried vB before, but something about IBF gets me IBF will catch up, I don't think vB is "miles" ahead, actually, with the new IBF I think they're mere steps ahead. Even with the new release of vB, how many darn features can a forum possibly have!?

Hi apaoli,
You're kidding me, right? There's no way you can compare Invisionboard, which includes far less hacks, a terrible admin panel, higher security risks, and less features, with vBulletin.
I despise Invisionboard, for the only reason that the lazy designers just took their Ikonboard design with them. If they could totally revise the design from Ikonboard 2.x to 3.x, then they certainly should have been able to revise the design from Ikonboard 3.x to Invisionboard. I don't care if they are the same designers, or how badly Ikonboard mistreated them; they're still copycats and I simply cannot respect that.

Merged with poll.
By the way, I'm sure InvisionBoard is great, but we WON'T be switching.
