Hmm...sounds like you have a problem with me and you don't even know me.... how do you consider link sales spam? Im obviously not a bot, I dont post in excess.... not really sure what the deal is?

I don't have a problem with you personally, just the way that so many link sellers and exchangers seem to have the idea that forums are there purely for their benefit.

They very rarely if ever become part of the forum community and simply cross post and hijack other "members" threads.
Since we ditched the link exchange/link sales forums here the overall quality of the forum has improved (IMO), the "New Posts" link is actually usable rather than returning 150 posts, 90 of which would be spammy "link swap" posts.
And to be honest, in the two years or so since they were closed, yours is the first or second post suggesting we have such a section.

There are marketplace categories for such trades or services of course;

just they are not mixed in with the general forum categories.
