When a post just says "Thanks for sharing" or otherwise adds nothing to the thread, it often will be deleted since it is not adding anything useful. We usually consider these types of posts to be a nuisance, and very often it is just people padding their post count in order to gain signature links. When you do this sort of posting, you risk losing your signature privileges completely.
