some way of rewarding really quality posts with lots of useful info would be nice too i.e. reward quality as well as (or ideally instead of) quantity; these points rewards for points can even more so encourage the posting of some fairly short and meaningless one liner posts, which in any case, some folks are prone to do already anyhow. 2/3 of you main admin. guys - chief, chopper, davetodd (sorry don't know all names) etc. - could vote with your own discretion to give fairly substantial points rewards for a really good posting with good info., suggestions etc.
that would keep points-based rewards culture but still promote quality posts rather than idle chit-chat. Not trying to be a killjoy or anything, obviously there is a place for quick, informal type posts too through all the forums!!!
