Hi Guys

I see lots of new threads saying

"Please review my site"

I think it would be good if you said what sort of site it is.

Eg

Please review my online commerce site
Please review my gaming site

That way reviewers have a brief idea.

Eg I know nothing about gaming, so I would not want to look at a gaming site.

it would make it easier to folllow threads if it had the url in the title - otherwise you read "please review my site" again for the 100th time

Great suggestions davemies and Digmen. Perhaps we need to revise the website review rules? Anyone would like to re-write it?

@Digby, I understand and appreciate what you are saying, having a commercial or gaming site in the title, doesn't really tell you a lot.

What in the world is that place, now it's in the title thread, is the site a house of babes, a pub, a beauty parlor, dog groomer, hair transplants, bunny farm, who knows it could be anything.

There's no clues in a business name either, I know from experience.

Usually they tell you in their posting what the site is about, if not be surprised and actually see the site for yourself, chances are you will actually have something to talk.

Personally I would leave things the way they are, if one sets down rules about this and that, who really wants to be bothered.

There are people who ask to review their site as they think they will receive traffic to their site, that is why they avoid giving more information about their website.

That's true, there's a percentage of legitimate Members who really want the review, maybe feel shy, or feel apprehension about what is going to said about the website, especially putting in many hours of work.

You just like it says in point 3 of the review forum specific rules
