Why dont you put ads above forum sections like sitepoint forums. Like, instead of a text link, a 130 X 90 button with bold text title and then plain text description.
Then you could also drop your ad prices, because there would be more ad spots.

Yes, I have thought about that. I'm just not sure how to implement it. I think there's are a tad bit to big, but I do lke the set-up.

Interesting idea! I think you should be able to drop the button size.
