Is there any chance you could move the 'new posts' link up in the box on the right as I keep clicking 'mark forums read' by mistake and then I don't know which posts are new.
Its rather annoying

Yes, we can make a different arrangement in those links. I guess the best thing would be to separate New Posts and Mark Forums Read!

Yea, I've done that myself a few times. I'd like to see the 'New Posts' link up top next to the FAQ, search... links

good ideea.

perhaps separate "New Posts" entirely ... i mean space in front and after the link

perhaps even a BIG BIG yellow arrow pointing that way

I've been playing around with the vB style a little bit lately to try and make everything easier to use and see. Thanks for this suggestion, I'll keep it in mind.

But for now, I'll make the "New Posts" link more prominent and separate from other "harmful" links

What do you mean? On the main page? http://www.webmaster-talk.com/images.../forum_new.gif

As to the yellow arrow, I don't think so

yes those images ... when you click on a green one to mark that forum as read ... would be easier than entering the forum and clicking the link in the tools.
