who do i have to kill to get rid of the 30 second limit? (1 post per 30 seconds .... i can do 5 in that time with my way of rwplying and this beautyful connection)

just kidding ... actually what i want to say is ... Chroder ... is there a way to make that limit change by level?
start with a full minute and loose it on the way up?
i doubt it that there would be a problem with the really regulars

... or is this a bad idea?

I agree, the flooding probably won't be a problem with the regulars. As it stands, there is no way to make the flood limit usergroup-specific, so we can't have levels as you say without hacking. And if it requires hacking, then it's ginna wait until vB 3.5

Once we upgrade, I'll remove the flood limit from the users with >250 posts. Until then, you're stuck with it

i'm tired of counting good news that mention the next version of vB ... think i'll mail the guys working on it a good motivator and get them working harder

Right now there are only 3 bugs in the bug tracker, so a release is imminent! I hope it's gold and not another release candidate though.

Sorry, I thought this was a usergroup setting but it's a global setting. I will see about creating a plugin so we can make it per-usergroup.
