I'm new here and am trying to make myself at home. I noticed that other members have animated avatars so I made one for myself. I just went to upload it and figured it would be fine since there isn't any thing saying animated avatars can not be used. Well It came back and told me that animated avatars can not be uploaded? My avatar is within the 19.5k limit. Why can't I upload it?

Is it also within the pixel size limit? I think it's 80x80?

Make sure your path is correct for the upload and try again. If it doesn't work, reply with any error message.

If there's no error message, you can send me the avatar and I'll see if I can upload it.

This is what it tells me:

"You May Not Upload Animated images"

I put the url that you sent me in the url box, not the upload box, and it applied it successfully. To upload it, you would have needed to have it on your local machine. Anyway, it's there, and it's nice looking!

I wanted to change my avatar which happens to be animated, it's the right size and everything else, the message came up with no animation avatars allowed. The graphic I feel isn't to flashy or distracting.

I've noticed that I get the same error message on all vBulletin sites. Why I don't know. I use firefox could that be a problem? Giselle are you using firefox too?

No it isn't vBulletin because I just uploaded the same animated avatar on another vBulletin website, 5dollarbanners. I use either Firefox or Mozilla 1.7.5....
