I think it's 5 for reply and 10 for a new post.

Crow is correct.

As well there are a few bonus points given for posts if the thread gets a certain number of replies and a certain number of views.

Example:
Replies more than 5 = 5 bonus points.
Replies more than 10 = 10 bonus points...
