Is there a Vb mod that allows users to make short searches? When you search, it won't let you use three letter abbreviations.

Since this is a webmaster forum, there are obviously loads of phrases you can't search for... SEO, PHP, ASP etc.

Would be nice to be able to search for these

The lower the number of characters, the more intensive the search begins to get. So I believe 4 is minimum length.

We can choose other short words to index by inputting them specifically. Currently, we only have:

vb php sql xml rss css asp sql pr

I've just added SEO. Suggest any others and I'll add them to the list.

Of course - can't believe I didn't think of that reason before!

Can't think of anymore come to think of it; assumed the above would be unavailable too.

Note that posts with these terms will only be indexed after they are added to the list (from that point on). Unless we rebuild the post index, which takes a looooooooooong time (218,000 posts to process!
