hey ppl and admins of webmaster-talk. i just wanted to say that i love this forum, and the talkupation thing is cool, and i had found a new way to use it, for your own good:
You know how the max links you can have in your sig is ONLY 3, so how about every time you gain another talkupation point, you are allowed to have one more link in your sig. 6 links max: this way ppl will be wanting and wating to post more and more and to be even more active, because a link here can turn out to be on a PR3/4/5 page.

You can have more than three links in your sig. You just can't have more than three lines in your sig. Place your links next to each other instead of below each other.

I think talkpuation is there more for fun than anything else. It's a way to say thanks to someone who has helped you with a question or given out good advice in general.

Giving out rewards for talkupation would lead to it quickly becoming spammed as people give it back and forth to each other in an effort to gain rewards. I think it would reduce the overall quality of the forum.

Yep it's all fine. It's the number of lines that's limited to three.

I'm not sure Dan. Possibly because none of the mods have seen it yet. If you want PM me a link to a post like that and I'll take a look.

Dan I think there are some people here younger than you, but I can't say I've ever really looked and not everyone makes their birth date available for viewing.

I have to warn you about being my younger brother. I probably put my own brother through some things he'd rather not have gone through when we were growing up.

Dan, I think you are probably close to the youngest. My son is here occassionaly (DarkLink) and he is 16 - joined just after he turned 15 and my daughter would like to, but I feel she is a bit too young and inexperienced at 12. I know we have quite a few members in the 15-16 year range, but you are the only 14 I've seen (that posted their age ).

Dan for some reason I was thinking you were 16. At 14 you probably are the youngest one here. By the way you have the same birthday as my aunt. She's a little older than 14 though.

Don't worry about taking over the thread. The original question was answered long ago.

I can't speak for other people, but I like to judge people based on what they do. I generally don't check people's ages here, because it doesn't matter to me. I've seen teenagers who knew more about webmastering than people over 40 and I've also seen the reverse.

If I'm going to judge someone I want it to be based on who they are and what they do and say. Things like age don't make much of a difference to me.
