i don't know if this is possible with this forum but here it goes :

I think it would be a good ideea for the tread starter to modify the first post title and add [ solved ] for example at the end of the title to show that the thread is solved so we don't loose any more time reading the whole thread to find out at the end that the problem was solved.

I'm all in favor of this idea however, I'm afraid it wouldn't be used too often thus rendering it kind of useless. I have noticed other forums that allow this though and it certainly is helpful, especially when looking for an answer to a particular problem.

i am a member of a php forum that does that and it's not a rule to do this ... write [ solved ] in the title ... but rather more like a unwriten rule.

There at first nobody did that ... but usualy if moderators or even members would see a thread that was solved would notify the thread starter to change the title ... and in a few month every body got used to do that.
