I have noticed during my short stay here that the buying and selling section as well as the review sections generate a lot of spam and posts that do not follow the forum rules.

It is my view that stricter moderation (perhaps even pre-moderation) of listings would benefit the forum as a whole, and bring more credibility to the site.

I agree with Jamie here, and I'd go one step further: pre-moderate all first-time posters (anything under say 5 posts or less). A lot of the spam is drive-by cross-posted forum spam.

What a great idea! It now seems that around half of new members are just veteran spammers
