As a newbie, im struggling with CSS issues on multiple broswers....

Do you think that in the future there will be a "set way" of displaying HTML, that will ensure no x-browser compatability issues exist!?

There is a set way. The issue is that not all browsers adhere to it. Ideally one day all browsers would adhere to the same set of rules, but it's more likely they'll adhere to the majority and leave a few things for us to find a way to make work.

I personally prefer firefox over IE as it loads faster opens tabs faster etc... i have noticed a reduced amount of the program running into errors and closing but firefox needs to take some major steps in scalability to survive amongst other browsers.

IE: Came out before FF, Supported by Microsoft, buggy and doesn't support as many commands as FF does.

FireFox: Came out later, its faster, better supported, supports addons (POP Up blockers,Webmaster tools, RSS readers, weather forcasts, ect...) But it does take up more ram/processor speed.

FF > IE anyday.

The MS bundling was happening a long time ago and back then everybody was up in arms. But very few programming evangelists have the technical delivery powers to tweak a FF and IE browser or virus or bloatware or freeware to get the job done foolproof both ways. It's really inconsiderate of these companies not to settle their competition differences in a manner that does not entitle the end user and customer to fight the battle for them.

I have had to coach so many end users and clients to load Firefox not because the Microsoft Explorer code is bad but because the programmers thought it would be cute to tweak it in final version to FF but not IE working order. How is that still efficient code delivery?

current firefox3.0.7 has included great updates ,there was a new add- on to simplify browsing activities i.e getting tags a t left side menu one by one instead of getting all tabs appearing at browser. down load link by providing keyword" tab sidebar"

another one social media for fire fox at link

IE8 now working well like fire fox browser with improved security features.

Oh geez! What ever reason it is, I still prefer and love using Firefox. I love the features, add-ons, and everything! IE is really one of the worst browser for me.
